Our friend Ed recently had a 90's themed birthday party thrown for him by his lovely wife, Kristen.   The party was a blast.  There was an awesome 90's play list, 90's trivia, fun 90's food (i.e. Fruit by the Foot and Bagel Bites) and best of all, slap bracelets.  Ben and I also had a lot of fun getting ready for the party, so I decided to share what we wore.  We were inspired by 90s grunge and My So Called Life (or maybe that was just me.)

It is no secret that I love wrapping presents.  I especially love the simplicity of using brown wrapping paper or kraft boxes combined with pretty ribbon or doilies. Here are 3 simple and cute ways to gift wrap that you are welcome to steal:

1.  I used a Martha Stewart tag punch to make the tag.  The paper is actually vintage wallpaper....

It seems like everything is growing so fast in our little garden lately.  Our potatoes have been harvested, our sunflowers are getting tall, our corn is even taller, our watermelon vine is going crazy, we picked our first cucumber and we have lots of little green tomatoes!

I developed a love of  stamps while planning my wedding.  I was especially drawn to beautiful vintage love stamps.  I  love that the USPS (United States Postal Service) realizes that every year some lucky girl is planning her wedding and would love nothing more than to have a beautiful stamp to stick on the many wedding invitations she will be sending out.    This's year's love stamp is called the Garden of Love and they are oh so pretty. The USPS started releasing Love inspired stamps in 1973.  Some are better...

Last Wednesday on my lunch break, Ben and I were looking at our garden's progress, when we noticed some poison ivy on the edge of our garden.  I said, "I'll just pull it up since I'm not allergic to Poison Ivy."  I then proceeded to pull up the vines without gloves on.  Do not make my mistake! Things I have learned about Poison Ivy/Virginia Creeper: 1.  Poison Ivy often grows alongside Virginia Creeper. Virginia Creeper is also poisonous.  At this point,  I am not even really sure which one caused my rash. 2.  Just...

On Sunday I attended a baby shower for my friend Sarah Staggers.  Since I had so much fun making the onesie for my friend Christy's baby shower, I decided to give it a go again.

This was the first time I have every stenciled on anything and I am hooked.  The worst part is cutting out the stencil, but once your stencil is cut out, the rest is quite easy. Supplies Needed: Freezer Paper (Not wax...
