I know Valentine's Day has passed but I couldn't resist posting these cute Valentine's I made for friends. For this Valentine I used a Martha Stewart edge punch to create the lace look on the valentine.  I made the envelope from this cute love paper that I downloaded from Paper Crave for free and the label is also a free download from Creature Comforts.  I love free printables!  I actually found both of these a while back and was...

I love the pretty vintage stamps we used on our wedding invitation envelopes so much. The envelopes we used for our wedding invitations were 100% recycled paper from Action Envelope.   We used vintage stamps that I purchased on Ebay, for the invitations we sent to the wedding party, close friends and family. For all of the other guests, we used the new love stamps which were perfect. Since hiring a calligrapher didn't really fit into our budget and I had no intention of writing addresses on all of our invitations since my husband invited half of  Starkville, we decided on using...

This weekend, my best friend and favorite craft buddy Nikki and I made heart shaped crayons.  This project was so easy and fun to make.  I have a little niece who will love these for Valentine's Day.  They are perfect for little hands. Supplies Needed: Crayons (Old broken ones work the best) Mold of some sort.  We purchased this silicone one at Wal-Mart and it worked perfectly.  I suggest using a silicone one because it is easier to pop them out of the mold once they harden. Put your mold onto...

Recently my husband allowed me to scrap all the stickers off this old table he has had forever.  I'm not sure why guys like to completely cover items with stickers. I used an electric drill to attach the mounting plates.  I don't think that power tools like me. We love our little yellow table.  It is amazing how much cuter this table is with legs and a couple coats of...

I knew that I didn't want my wedding invitations to be boring or traditional and I wanted them to be as DIY as possible.   I began to get discouraged since all of the invitations I liked didn't at all fit into my budget, but then our friend and graphic designer, Kirby Doss saved the day.  He took my handwriting and ideas and made our invitations oh so lovely. With our wedding invitations we sent a RSVP postcard (which used less paper than a traditional RSVP card with an...

This weekend I was feeling kind of crafty and decided to decoupage some electrical outlet covers after seeing this tutorial on Design Sponge. What you need: Fun Patterned Paper (I used Martha Stewart craft paper on the middle one) Screwdriver (To take off the outlet cover) Mod Podge Paint brush or sponge applicator to apply the Mod Podge These are so easy to make.  All you do is find what paper you want, place the paper right side down and apply the Mod Podge to the paper.  Place the outlet cover on the paper and let it dry.  Once it is dry...

I am supposed to be taking down our Christmas tree.  Instead here are a few of my Christmas projects: 1.  Gift tags from scrap paper I made the blue ones from the inside of those envelopes that come with bills, I used a rubber stamp on the green one and both the green patterned one and the red pattered one I made from scraps of Martha Stewart craft paper from Wal-Mart.  The lace looking tag was made using a Martha Stewart lace punch. 2.  Ugly Christmas Ornaments I made these at Dandy Doodles, which is one of those paint your...

I am not a fan of those "i need so much attention" brides or those "this has nothing to do with the couple" weddings.  I wanted our wedding to be so much fun for everyone involved and for our wedding to truly reflect us as a couple.   I have been to quite a few boring weddings with no activities for those of us who prefer not to dance, so when I saw this DIY Photo booth template over at Martha Stewart Weddings I knew we had to make it.  The best part about this idea is...
